Lambda Alliance and LGBTQ+ Initiatives, in the Office of Student Life, and at the University of California, Merced is pleased to announce the 5th Annual Lavender Graduation Reception. The Lavender Graduation Reception is an annual cultural ceremony that recognizes LGBTQ+ scholars of all intersecting identities and acknowledges the tenacity for creating positive social change by being part of the UC Merced graduating class. This celebration would not take place if it wasn't for amazing volunteers. Opportunities to ensure Lav Grad is a success include:
- Bouquet makers: volunteers create the graduate bouquets during the ceremony
- Set up: volunteers assist with setting up the ceremony
- Tear down: volunteers assist with tearing down the ceremony
